One Month

Carson is one month old today! I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast!! Of course I am exhausted and so ready for him to start sleeping all night but I am not sure I want it to come this fast. Here is a picture from today...and then a picture from when Jenna was a month old. It's so fun to look back at her pics.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a full weekend but it was great!!

Friday night we went to downtown Chattanooga with our friends Ryan and Shannon and their kids. We ate at Mellow Mushroom and then walked on the Walnut Street bridge and around Coolidge Park. Jenna loved the fountain, "splash", at the park and everyone else loved playing the game, Escargo, on the sidewalk. I tried to play but found out the hard way that my bladder is weaker after having two kids! :)

Saturday we went to Parksville Lake for a few hours and then we took Jenna to her first rodeo. She is in love with horses so it was right up her alley. She is still talking about the horses, baby cows, sheep and bulls. If her Nan has anything to do with it, Jen will be racing barrels in a few years. There was the cutest 5 year old little girl out there and all I could think about was Jenna being out there...kinda scary!

Sunday, Matt took me to Six Flags, along with Ryan and Shannon and their 2 girls. We had a BLAST! Probably my favorite Six Flags trip ever. It wasn't crowded at all. The longest we waited in line was 20 minutes! Goliath was my favorite. We got to ride it twice! Shannon won the prize for who got the soaked on Thunder River.

It was a big step for me to go. I left my sweet babies with Matt's mom. I was so nervous about Carson having a bottle all day long. He had only had 1 before. He did great though. He's such a good baby. I had a blast but I sure did miss both my kids. It was nice to get away though.

Monday we went to Mac Point on Parksville Lake. Of course Jenna loved it. Then we went to Matt's parents house for a cookout. We ate and then played Josh and Sheri's Wii. It was so much fun. I beat Matt at boxing!! My arms are sore today...funny. Only one picture got taken there. It's of Carson and his great grandpa.

I have to say it was a great holiday weekend!

Playing at Josh & Sheri's

Matt's brother, Josh, bought Jenna a little pool to play in at their house. She could hardly wait to get there yesterday. She had so much fun splashing and playing with bath toys in her new pool.

Another thing she loves at their house is playing with bouncy balls. They have a huge vase full and she dumps them out and it keeps her entertained for hours. This time she decided it would be fun to put them down her PJs...with a little help from daddy of course!

And here's my little man relaxing.

PawPaw Taylor

Pawpaw...You are missed greatly. You were such a fighter. Now you are finally with our Heavenly Father, where you always longed to be. Sometimes I can't believe you are gone. It doesn't seem real.

But when I see this picture it makes me smile because I know you are running the streets of gold. Can't wait to see you again. Love you!!

Park

We took Jenna (and Carson) to Deer Park the other day...as you can see, her favorite part was the swinging bridge.

Carson and Ben

Anna(my aunt) had her new little boy, Benjamin Scott, 9 days after Carson was born. It will be so fun seeing them grow up together and watch how they change together. We went to visit them on Mother's Day and took pictures of the new babies together. Ben was 7 lbs 12 oz and Carson was 8 lbs 10 oz. Ben is the one in dinosaurs and Carson is the one in trucks.

Bathtime

Carson's first bath at home.
(Kinda funny that there is a pink washcloth/towel in both pictures...i am still learning how to do a boy and a girl!)

Jenna, the helper

I mentioned before that Jenna is a proud sister. Let me add some more to that. She LOVES LOVES LOVES her new brother, "CJ", as she calls him. She wants to hold him all the time, burp him after he eats, help change him, you name it she wants to do it. She doesn't want anyone else to hold him and bedtime is a little harder these days because she doesn't want to leave Carson. It's a little overwhelming for us. We knew she loved babies but we weren't sure how she would react to one in our house all the time but she is loving him. I am anxious to see what she will be like once the newness wears off...we'll see. :)

Carson James

Everything went GREAT with the labor and delivery of Carson. Angela broke my water at 8:30am, I started pushing at 12:30 and Carson James Edgeworth was born at 12:37. I was amazed at how fast it went. Everyone was telling me the second one went faster but I didn't know it would be that fast! I pushed with Jenna for an hour and 15 min. Right after I had him, Angela kept telling me he was a big baby. She made everyone in the delivery room guess how much he weighed. Everyone kept guessing 8 lbs and something...I couldn't believe it. Who knew I was carrying a baby that was 8 lbs 10 oz...NOT ME! We were so excited that our baby boy was here.

The hospital stay was fine...as good as sleeping in a hospital can be. Carson didn't eat as much as they wanted him to but he is learning and doing better every day.

Here we are finally going home from the hospital!!
