Santa!

Santa came to our house! Here's the proof...
Can you tell which one she liked the best?

Christmas Eve

My family does Christmas on Christmas Eve. We have done it that way for the past couple years and we like it. My mom made a rule this year that you can only give gifts to our family if you made it. Uh, that's really hard. I didn't make my brother anything...I mean really..what could I make that a 16 year old boy would like?? I did make my mom's, a Christmas tree, out of a foam cone, ornaments(balls) and garland. I gave it to her early because I wanted her to be able to decorate with it this year. If your interested in knowing everything I made, just ask me. :)

Jenna got lots of stuff from Mimi and Poppy, Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Ben. Her Poppy got her a rocking chair and she LOVES it. We sit and read in it everyday. They also gave us stuff for Carson too!

Lindsey is crazy! She made my dad Elvis boxers, just as a joke. (Remember we had to make everything...).

We had great food and great desserts too. I love Christmas!

Blevins Christmas!

Matt, Jenna and I drove from Daphne to Rainsville on Sunday morning to go to Christmas there as well. There was more family there! We ate and played Dirty Santa and then opened even more presents. I did better at Dirty Santa this time!! I didn't get many pictures but we had a wonderful time.
This is Jenna with her cousin, Hailey and her second cousin(or 1st cousin once removed..whatever), Titan.

After it was over we were so exhausted that we went home and crashed!

Second weekend in a row

We went to Daphne two weekends in a row. This time it was for Taylor Christmas. Matt, Jenna, Lindsey and I left Thursday night around 8. We drove all night and luckily, Jenna slept most of the way. We went shopping all day Friday and out to eat that night. Then on Saturday was Taylor Christmas. We ALL went to a seafood resturaunt to eat and then to my Cuz's house for dessert, Dirty Santa and presents. We had a blast! I love getting together with our family. It makes great memories. Jenna got motivated by her cousins, Bella and Reed, to start walking!Ryan, Reed, and Amber

Ben, Nic and Meredith
Tommy and my cuz

Reed, Bella and Jenna (we missed Christian so much!)

PawPaw, MawMaw and Jenna
The Great Grandkids opening presents
And then the Dirty Santa started and everyone got silly!

Pictures

Here are some pictures from last weekend except for the MCBC pictures. I left them at my house so here are the cute ones of Jenna and Bella. This on Jenna is saying "more" in sign language. That's one of her favorite things to say.

Our Weekend

I haven't gotten my pictures yet but I will post them next weekend when I get the CD from my Cuz.

Jenna, Lindsey and I drove down to Daphne on Friday. Luckily Jenna did so great traveling! We told her that we were going to get to see her cousin Bella. So the whole trip, except for when she was sleeping, she was saying "Bella!" So that night Bella came over to play. They had a blast!! I can't wait to post the pictures. Jenna played with Play Dough for the first time. She only tried to eat it once, unlike Bella who ate it every chance she got! They also made Gingerbread cookies with Aunt Jerri. Jenna and Bella were covered in flour and ate cookie dough faster than we could get it away from them. They are going to be great little cousins!

Saturday was the main reason we went down to Daphne. Bay Community does an outreach every year called Merry Christmas Baldwin County. They give bikes, presents, and boxes of food to families in need. You can't imagine the turn out we had. I'll have pictures of that too. People started waiting 12 hours before the distribution even started. It was cold outside. Really cold. But that just shows that these people really did need food and presents for their kids. There are numerous stories every year of the way God is blessing these people through us and how God is blessing us through serving Him and giving. Its an amazing experience!

We were able to spend time with our family and also go to church and see everyone there too. We are heading back down there on Friday for Taylor Christmas. Burning the roads! Its worth it. I love it down there.

It's a boy!

We went for our ultrasound today. We are having a BOY! We're so excited. Everything else looks ok. We are going back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks because my placenta is still low but we aren't worried about it. The first picture is his face and the second one is showing that he's a boy! YAY!!! We've picked a name out already. We've had this since before we knew that Jenna was a girl. Carson James Edgeworth. Looks like I got a lot of girl stuff to go through to get ready for my new boy! :)

Christmas with our Soldier

Sunday was Family Day at the 252nd MP Company, which is Matt's unit. They started out with an awards ceremony. Matt got an award for "working beyond his pay grade". We had no clue that was coming but we were very proud of course! He got a new ribbon for his Class A's and also a medal. They also had an FRG(Family Readiness Group) meeting, which I hate! I know they are there to help but right now all they are talking about is getting ready for deployment and I honestly hate thinking about all the details that involves. They gave out a schedule of meetings, the last one was called Mobilization Day. Sounds exactly like what I want to do! We ate after that. It was very good, much better than last year! Santa was there. Jenna like him from far away. She kept saying HO HO HO but when we get take her close to him she would literally climb up Matt to get away. We tried to get a picture with him but it didn't work. Santa passed out presents to all the kids(provided by the parents). He gave Jenna a cute Dora/Deigo set. And of course she LOVED it! We had a great time. We are so grateful for our soldier and all he does! This Christmas is special because next year he'll be over seas and not with us. We are making memories throughout this season for him to carry over with him.

Little Helper

Jenna has always been fascinated with the broom for some reason. Last night Matt was sweeping and mopping and she followed him around the entire time. Eventually he picked her up to help him. I thought it was so cute I couldn't resist grabbing the camera.

Christmas Tree

Matt, Jenna, and I put up our Christmas tree on Friday. Jenna was a great help...except for taking the ornaments back off the tree after she put them on! Here are a few pictures. Notice there are is nothing on the bottom of the tree this year because all we hear all day is "ball!" and she wants to take them all off. Also, I didn't have a tree topper yet when I took these.

Thanksgiving

I should start out by saying that I'm a slacker and I didn't take one picture for Thanksgiving so sorry about that!
My family went to Henderson, NC this year for Thanksgiving. We weren't able to go so this was my first one without my family. They had a great time and got to see lots of family.
We went to Matt's mom's house on Thanksgiving Day. It was very good! We ate and watched football all day long. (What else are you supposed to do on Thanksgiving??) There were 16 of us there, I think. It was great to spend time with family and relax.
On Friday we went to Grandmother's house. The whole family wasn't there but we got together anyway. It was us, my grandparents and Anna, Brian and Brant. We ate brunch and then all went home to take a nap(except for Matt went to play golf..his new favorite thing to do!). Friday evening I put up my Christmas decorations but I'm saving that for the next post.
Saturday we drove down to Sand Mountain to see Matt's dad and his family. We watched the Iron Bowl(ROLL TIDE!) and ate veggie soup. The guys were supposed to go hunting Sunday morning but it was raining too hard. Sorry boys! We headed home around lunchtime in the rain.
That night we went to Mom's to eat BBQ she brought back from NC. It was wonderful! If you've never had BBQ from there, you are missing out! The guys went to the movies and the girls stayed at home and watched tv and played.
I did leave out one part of my story...SHOPPING! Matt's mom and I got up on Thanksgiving Day to go shopping. She picked me up at 6:45am. Matt's big Christmas present this year was on sale for that day only. It was a GREAT deal and we couldn't pass it up.
On Black Friday, I got up at 5:40am and went to Chattanooga. Call me crazy...I went to TOYSRUS! Yes...yes..I know. But I HAD to have the Little Tikes slide for my baby girl and I couldn't pass up the sale. It took me only 20 mintues to get what I needed in my buggy. It took me an hour and 45 mintues to check out! I was back home by 9:15.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We are so thankful we got to spend so much time with all of our family.
